Nearshore web development from Serbia

Nearshore web development from Serbia, in the same time zone as Germany and Austria. I build custom websites, online stores, Next.js sites and web applications for companies in and outside the region, alone and with no middlemen: you talk to the person who writes the code. Prices are in EUR, and messages sent before 5 pm CET get a reply the same day.

Why work with a developer in Serbia

  • Same clock. Serbia is on Central European Time, the same as Berlin and Vienna. A question sent in the morning gets an answer the same working day, not the next morning.
  • Short distance. Sjenica, where I work from, is in southwest Serbia. A video call is set up on request, and there is no long-haul time difference to plan around.
  • Prices in EUR. Every price on the pricing page is in euros: a presentation site from 100 EUR, a site with a blog from 150 EUR, an online store from 350 to 400 EUR and up, web applications from 300 EUR.
  • One person, one conversation. I work alone, so the person who agrees the scope with you is the one who designs, builds and maintains the site.
  • English, plus German and Turkish by message. I speak Serbian and English fluently, and I can also communicate in German and Turkish in writing.

The sites I build are fast on purpose: the home page of this site ships 0 KB of JavaScript, and Relax Home, a client site in Next.js, scores 99 for mobile performance in Lighthouse.

How we work together

  1. First message. Tell me what your company does and what the site or software should do. You get a reply the same working day, with an indicative price and timeline or the questions I need answered.
  2. Specification and sketch, 1 to 2 days. I write down what will be built, screen by screen, and draw a sketch. Work starts only after you approve it, and the design changes until you are happy with it.
  3. Build with daily contact. A presentation site takes 3 to 7 days, more complex projects 7 to 20 days or more. We stay in touch every day by message and email; video calls are available on request.
  4. Testing. The site is tested during the build on several phones and browsers, Android and iOS, and speed is measured on each.
  5. Handover. The site, domain and hosting are yours. On request you get access to the hosting, the domain and the source code. The first year of maintenance is free; after that it is 10 EUR a month or 100 EUR a year.

Everything in this list also runs remotely. The full workflow is on the process page.

Projects for clients outside Serbia

Bralić & Dekić, Germany. An installation company in Celle, Lower Saxony, that installs noise barriers, precast concrete and steel structures. The site is in German and English, with an Impressum and a privacy policy, cookie consent before any cookie is set, and a German admin panel where the client publishes finished construction sites alone. Built in 15 days in 2025 and redesigned in 2026. The full story is in the Bralić & Dekić case study.

Clients in Montenegro. Sigma Premium Realty, a property portal in Serbian, English and Turkish with translated URLs. Galia Apartmani, holiday apartments in Bar with an English and German version and more than 10,000 visits a month in season. FIDAI Coaching, a site the owner edits through a custom CMS with 18 section types. And a site for a Turkish court interpreter, in Bosnian, English and Turkish.

All of these were built remotely, by message and email. Every client so far has continued working with me after the first year. All projects are on the projects page.

SEF for Serbian subsidiaries

If your company has a subsidiary in Serbia, it deals with SEF, Serbia's state e-invoicing system. VAT payers in the private sector have issued and received e-invoices through it since January 1, 2023, and the invoices are kept for 10 years. From October 1, 2027, private companies also exchange electronic delivery notes for every movement of goods.

I connect software to SEF and the e-delivery note system through an API, so invoices are not retyped by hand. For BKC Soft, a fiscal cash register software maker, the efakture.exe service has sent more than 10,000 invoices and more than 5,000 delivery notes. I have not yet done this for a foreign company's subsidiary; the integration itself is the same. Details are on the SEF integration page and in the e-delivery notes guide.

Pricing, payment and contracts

Item How it works
prices in EUR, from the pricing page; Serbian market ranges are in the website cost guide
up front domain and hosting only
the rest after the build, in installments by agreement
payment methods PayPal, Western Union or bank transfer (SWIFT)
contract, NDA, DPA signed on request
hosting servers rented from unlimited.rs, in Serbia
maintenance first year free, then 10 EUR a month or 100 EUR a year

An NDA is a non-disclosure agreement, and a DPA is the data processing agreement EU companies ask for under the GDPR. I do not sign them by default, but I sign them when a client asks. Companies that need an invoice are invoiced through a registered company.

Common questions from EU companies

Do you speak German?

Not fluently. I speak Serbian and English fluently, and I can communicate in German and Turkish by message. The Bralić & Dekić site was built in German and English, with the admin panel in German.

Can we have video calls?

Yes, on request. Most of the work runs by message and email, which also leaves a written record of what was agreed, but a call can be set up whenever it helps.

Will you sign an NDA or a DPA?

Yes, on request. I do not sign them by default, but I sign them when a client asks, before work starts.

How do we pay from abroad?

By PayPal, Western Union or bank transfer (SWIFT), in EUR. Only the domain and hosting are paid up front; the rest is paid after the build, in installments if agreed.

Do you build in Next.js?

Yes, when speed matters most, as on Relax Home and this site, which ship pages as ready made HTML. For sites with an admin panel I use PHP and MySQL, for larger admin panels Laravel and Filament, and Go or C# for Windows services and tools.

What does a project cost?

Starting prices are on the pricing page: a presentation site from 100 EUR, a site with a blog from 150 EUR, an online store from 350 to 400 EUR and up. A second language adds a small surcharge, and you get the exact figure after your first message.

Where is the site hosted?

On servers I rent from unlimited.rs, a hosting company in Serbia, at up to 30 EUR a year. The site, domain and hosting are yours, and you get access on request.

Send a short project brief

Three sentences are enough: what your company does, what the site or software should do, and when you need it. Messages sent before 5 pm CET get a same day reply with an indicative price and timeline.
