What I actually do
Most of the work is systems nobody sees from outside — admin panels, records, reporting, integrations. The website is often just the face of something running underneath it.
Of the twelve projects in the portfolio, most have a part only the client ever reaches: a reception desk entering a group booking, an owner checking turnover across locations, a builder publishing a finished site. That part is invisible from the outside, and it is the reason the work was commissioned.
What that looks like in practice
I work alone and directly with the client. No intermediaries, no relayed messages — what is agreed is what gets built.
I work remotely, including with clients outside the region. A site for the German market meant researching their legal framework before writing any code, because there a non-compliant site is not a formality but a cost.
Relationships tend to be long. One client accounts for three separate projects — a licensing portal, an electronic delivery note system, and a utility running quietly on every machine. That is the only reference that really means anything: being called back.
Why the meander
The line running through this site is a meander, and it was not drawn by eye. It is generated from the Kinoshita model — the equation geomorphology uses to describe real river courses. The shape derives from the meanders of the Uvac.
The motif was not chosen because it looks good but because it describes the work. A meander is what joins places that would otherwise stay unconnected, and it does not travel in a straight line — it goes where it can.
