This is a case study of the Galia Apartmani website. If you are looking for a place to stay in Bar, their official site is galiaapartmani.com.
Client and context
Galia Apartmani is 14 holiday apartments in Bar, Montenegro, across from the beach: studios, one bedroom and three bedroom apartments, plus two penthouses with a rooftop pool. The beach is less than a minute's walk, and part of the guests come from abroad, especially Germany. I built the site in 2026 in about 20 days, most of which went into waiting for and sorting the photos.
Problem
A guest looking for a seaside apartment decides fast and on a phone. They do not read for long, do not write emails and do not wait until tomorrow for a reply. If they cannot see at once what the apartment looks like, how far the beach is and how to get in touch, they move on to the next listing.
The second part of the problem is being found. Before deciding, people search for what to see in Bar, and a site that is only a list of apartments does not show up in those searches.
Constraints
The site is simple and had no technically complex parts. The constraint was time: photos arrived bit by bit, and only once they were all in could they be sorted by apartment. The second constraint was languages: guests come from Serbia, the region and Germany, so the site has to work in Serbian, English and German, with separate URLs for each.
Solution
A page for every apartment
Each of the 14 apartments has its own page with a gallery, a description, amenities (air conditioning, WiFi, smart TV, kitchen) and a table of details: capacity, beds, bathrooms, sea view, pool and distance to the beach. The price is on request, with the contact buttons right below it.
Contact from fastest to slowest
Every apartment page uses the same order: call first, then WhatsApp, then the form. On phones, a bottom bar offers call, WhatsApp and email on every page. A guest choosing a room for tomorrow does not write emails, and guests from abroad mostly choose WhatsApp.
Reviews under each apartment
Guest comments sit under the individual apartment, not collected on one page. A guest looking at that exact apartment reads what someone who stayed in it said.
Destination pages
The site has pages about places in and around Bar: King Nikola's Palace, viewpoints, Grmožur fortress, Beška monastery and the Islamic Cultural Center. They are there for search: people looking for things to see in Bar find those pages and reach the apartments from there. I follow Search Console and add new posts when I see a search worth answering.
Three languages
Serbian is the default, and the English and German versions have their own URLs (/en/ and /de/) and hreflang tags, so Google shows each guest the version in their language. German was not added for completeness: on the Adriatic it is the language of many guests who book ahead.
Apartment types
Apartments are grouped by type, because guests first decide how many people are travelling. Studios sleep up to 2, one bedroom apartments up to 3 and three bedroom apartments up to 7, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Penthouses 13 and 14 have direct access to the rooftop pool with views of the sea, the town and Mount Rumija, which the home page highlights straight away.
What a guest sees on an apartment page
Studio 5 as an example:
| Detail | Studio 5 |
|---|---|
| Capacity | up to 2 people |
| Beds | 1 sofa bed |
| Bathrooms | 1 |
| Sea view | yes |
| Rooftop pool | no |
| To the beach | under a minute on foot |
| Price | on request, with Call us and WhatsApp buttons |
Every apartment has the same rows, so guests compare apartments without reading long descriptions.
What the site highlights
The home page and the "Why Galia" section answer what guests ask before booking: under a minute to the beach, free parking, apartments for up to 8 people and children's equipment on request, central Bar within walking distance, Tivat airport about 55 km and Podgorica about 50 km away, and a free airport transfer. A guest from Germany gets in one place the answers they would otherwise ask for by message.
Technologies and why
The site is built in PHP, MySQL and JavaScript. A site with 14 apartments and a handful of destinations needed nothing more complex: what mattered was that every page had the right title, description and data for Google, and that contact options were visible at once.
Result
In season the site gets more than 10,000 visits a month, many of them from Germany. The WhatsApp button gets a lot of clicks, because guests from abroad mostly choose it over a call or the form. The destination pages bring in people who are still planning their trip, before they even start looking for a place to stay (as of October 2026).

Questions about the project
What is Galia Apartmani?
Holiday apartments in Bar, Montenegro, across from the beach: 14 apartments from studios to three bedroom units, plus two penthouses with a rooftop pool. This is a case study of their website; their official site is galiaapartmani.com.
Why are call and WhatsApp above the form?
Because a guest looking for a room for tomorrow does not write emails and wait for a reply. Guests from abroad mostly choose WhatsApp, so that button gets a lot of clicks.
What would a site like this cost?
A presentation site starts at 100 EUR, and a second or third language does not raise the price much. Prices are on the pricing page.
What are the destination pages for?
They bring visitors from search. People looking for things to see in Bar find a page about the fortress or the monastery, and from there they reach the apartments.
